Illa de Riu are an agricultural firm currently run by Juan Trias, member of the third generation of the family, dedicated to the production and commercialization of high quality rice. They produce Certified Seed rice and hold the Official Qualification of Seed Selectors. Bomba is the highest level of quality of Illa de Riu’s rice. Illa de Riu is the regular supplier of well known restaurants: El Celler de Can Roca (Got the "Best Restaurant Award" from the Diners Club World's 50 Best Restaurants Academy 2013 awards edition.), Arzak, Mugaritz, Can Juvany, Dos Cielos, Carles Gaig, Hoffman and Grupo Tragaluz. El Bulli, when it was open, was Illa de Riu client as well.
